On Tuesday night in Egypt, the Confederation of African Football will announce the continent's top footballer for 2019, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Riyad Mahrez in the running.
Salah, who won the award in 2017 and 2018, is looking to make history by becoming the third player to win it three times, after Samuel Eto'o and Yaya Toure.
Mane, who finished second in the last two years, had a remarkable season with Liverpool, helping the team win the UEFA Champions League, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
He also led the Senegalese national team to a second-place finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and was joint Premier League top scorer with 22 goals, alongside Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Mahrez, who won the award in 2016, was part of the Manchester City team that won the Premier League title and helped Algeria win the Africa Cup of Nations, beating Mane's Senegal in the final.
The awards ceremony will be televised live on KBC channel one on Tuesday evening.
