On February 16, 2019, Geoffrey Ominde of Top Fry Nakuru RFC took a penalty kick against Menengai Oilers at the Nakuru Athleticism Club (NAC).
Nakuru RFC has made significant changes to its squad, signing four experienced players to fill the void left by key departures. The new signings include Kabras Sugar back row Kevin Kabole, lock Thomas Okeyo from Kabianga High School, and Menengai Oilers duo centre Victor Matiko and winger Blastus Juma.
These new additions replace scrum-half and kicker specialist Geoffrey Ominde, who has joined Menengai Oilers on a six-month loan, back row Dalmus Chituyi (Oilers), centre Walter Okoth who has joined Kabras Sugar, and Erick Nyangoya who returned to parent club Eldoret RFC.
Head coach Felix Oloo expressed optimism about the new signings, which he believes will strengthen the team's chances of title glory.
