Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has laughed off the 'noisy neighbours' tag ahead of his team's Carabao Cup semi-final showdown with Manchester United.
Guardiola's comments come after former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson branded City the 'noisy neighbours' when they were on the rise towards the end of his tenure at Old Trafford.
However, Guardiola believes City have silenced that jibe by winning four Premier League titles in eight years.
'I know for the years I was not here we were the noisy neighbours,' Guardiola said. 'Now I don't know what we are!'
Guardiola also praised Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, saying he can see a side with a tangible identity.
'I think he starts to see his team like he wanted,' Guardiola said. 'The last game against Arsenal they lost, but you could see clearly what he wants.'
Guardiola's comments come ahead of Manchester City's trip to Manchester United for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
