Despite a £140million summer splurge, Arsenal's Mikel Arteta has been warned of limited funds for January transfers.
However, the Gunners are pushing forward with plans to sign Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, according to reports published on January 6, 2020.
Arteta's team is also considering RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano as an alternative, but both transfers may be out of the club's price range this month.
Despite these challenges, Arteta remains optimistic about bringing in reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
