Published on January 6, 2020, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer credits Jesse Lingard's improved performance to a reduction in his social media activity.

After facing criticism for posting a crude video on Snapchat in June 2019, Lingard was disciplined by the club. The 27-year-old England international struggled to find his footing, failing to score a Premier League goal or register an assist in 2019.

However, Solskjaer notes that Lingard's performance has improved in recent games, citing his displays against Manchester City and Tottenham as examples of his importance to the team.

"Jesse has had his ups and downs, but he's getting back to the Jesse I knew," Solskjaer said.

Manchester United's inconsistent form has been a concern, with patchy results including a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Watford and Arsenal. Solskjaer aims to replicate their impressive performance against City, which saw them win 2-1 in the Premier League.
