Kenyan Premier League (KPL) action saw AFC Leopards thrash Zoo Kericho 4-1 at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County on January 5, 2020, while Ulinzi Stars edged out Posta Rangers 2-0 in an early kick-off match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County.
John Makwatta's hat-trick inspired Leopards to their sixth win of the campaign, moving him joint top of the top scorers list with Tusker's Timothy Otieno on nine goals.
Ulinzi Stars' win saw them move three places up to fourth in the KPL standings, extending their unbeaten run to 11 consecutive matches in the league.
