On New Year's Day, Dennis Sikhayi, a former defender of AFC Leopards, left the club after his contract expired, ending a two-year stint.
Before departing, Sikhayi sent a heartfelt message to his former teammates and friends, thanking them for their support during his time at the club.
He wrote, 'Thanks for everything. Keep working hard and all the best.'
As a token of appreciation, Sikhayi sent Sh30,000 to his former teammates via captain Robinson Kamura.
Leopards are currently facing a severe financial crisis, with the management struggling to pay its players for the past five months, leading to an exodus of players and coach Casa Mbungo.
