Discriminatory Practices at Milan Kenya

The controversy began on January 4, 2020, when Goddy Jatelo, a popular rugby fanatic, tweeted that he was denied entry to Milan Kenya because he was dressed in shorts.

Under the post, Kenyans shared their mixed reactions, with some expressing surprise at the incident and others telling Jatelo to calm down, reminding him that the bar's administration has the freedom of choice when it comes to admission.

However, the conversation took a heated turn the next day when another influential Kenyan expressed his displeasure at being compelled to leave his hoodie at the entrance.

According to Solange Mbunde, the reason given was that this was a precautionary measure against revellers stashing items from the establishment.

But the explanation sparked outrage, with many netizens condemning Milan's reply and offering free tips to the management on customer service.

Some experts even joked that the administration must be run by clowns.

Others shared their own experiences of being overcharged at the bar, with one patron claiming that they were charged for a whole bottle of whiskey that was not served.

As the debate raged on, one Twitter user quipped that Milan Kenya needs proper management, while another joked that the administration must be a short woman.
