January 4, 2020, marked the beginning of a new decade, and with it, a sense of hope and uncertainty that is hard to ignore. The energy on social media and in conversations with people is undeniable – 2020 is going to be a big year.

For the past month, I've been reading social media and listening to people's thoughts on the new decade. The idea of a fresh start seems to be doing something to us, tickling our brains and making us feel a sense of possibility.

As someone who has been nagged endlessly about the power of hope, I've decided to embrace it. And what better way to do that than by watching a movie that explores the complexities of power, responsibility, and doing the right thing?

The movie, The Two Popes, is a conversation between two men about the challenges of leadership and the human condition. Based on a play and presented as being 'inspired by true events,' it's a work of art that takes creative liberties to tell a compelling story.

As a lapsed Catholic, I found the movie's take on the Church and its leaders to be both fascinating and thought-provoking. The film's portrayal of the struggles of powerful men and the human condition is a reminder that even the most complex issues can be approached with empathy and understanding.

Ultimately, The Two Popes is a good movie that might stir something in you, like the hope for a new decade and a fresh start. It's a visual treat with a soundtrack that is unexpected, and the acting is superb.
