On January 4, 2020, Kenyan media personality Willis Raburu and his wife Marya Prude suffered a devastating loss when they lost their first child due to complications.

Willis, a popular Citizen TV reporter, took to social media to share the news with his fans and well-wishers, expressing his grief and pain at the loss.

‘Over the past few days my heart has been shattered and torn into several pieces. The pain I have felt has been immeasurable and one that words fail to aptly capture.

He announced that he would be taking a short break from work to mourn the loss of their child, thanking his colleagues and fans for their support and understanding.

‘This is to allow for my wife and I to get through the motions. While I am away several people will be holding fort for me, the shows will go on.

Willis also expressed his gratitude to those who have been praying for him and his wife, asking them to continue doing so until he returns to work.

‘I want to say thank you for those in the know who continue to lift my wife and I in prayer and ask that you continue to do so up until the time I will be back on your screens and on your radio!

As news of the couple's loss spread, Kenyans took to social media to offer their condolences and support, with many sharing messages of hope and encouragement.
