Five years have passed since the untimely death of Fidel Odinga, a 42-year-old man who left a lasting impact on those who knew him. Renowned radio presenter Carol Radul is still grappling with the loss of her friend.

On social media, Carol shared her heartfelt tribute to Fidel, recalling their cherished moments together. She wrote:

‘FIVE years already. I miss you. You would come to my flat on Saturday mornings just to chat – about everything and nothing. You would always ask about my Mum because our Mums belonged to all of us.

Carol's tribute also highlighted Fidel's kindness and generosity, particularly when her father was ill. She expressed her gratitude for his support, saying:

You contributed so generously when my Dad was ill without me even asking. Continue to rest in peace little brother? #fidelodinga #Family.

Fidel was married to Lwam Gatchew Bekele, an Eritrean woman he wed on July 28, 2012. His first marriage to Veronica Wanjiru ended in divorce due to 'irreconcilable' differences. Fidel's second wedding to Lwam was a low-key ceremony held at the Orthodox Church in Nairobi, a stark contrast to his first wedding in 2007.
