Women Leaders Defend Uhuru Against Alice Wahome's Claims ¶
On January 4th, 2020, a group of women leaders from Nairobi county came out to rubbish the sensational claims raised by Kandara MP Alice Wahome against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the women leaders, Alice Wahome's recent utterances have distorted her persona and brought out a totally alien character driven by misdirected vitriol and needless bile.
They further stated that while they support freedom of expression and women empowerment, they are completely averse to the brand of politicking now adopted by the likes of Alice Wahome.
They accused her of being a 'political scavenger for hire' who has failed to table a single substantive bill in parliament.
They also issued a list of warnings to Alice Wahome and her ilk, stating that talking at the Head of State does not translate into political heroism, and that it is sad that she and a handful others have been turned into political scavengers and mouthpieces of shameless double-speak.
They concluded by stating that they will not allow skewed political bickering to derail Kenya's development, and that they will stand with the President on his Big Four Agenda and all other initiatives that hold the promise for a better Kenya.
