Nairobi's Woman Representative Esther Passaris has been in India for a spinal surgery, a procedure she had been planning for over 20 years due to back pain.
According to her Facebook post, Ms Passaris flew to Ahmedabad, India on December 31, 2019, and underwent the surgery the following day at CIMS Hospital.
She shared pictures of herself in a hospital bed and an X-ray of the procedure, thanking God for the gift of life and her family's love.
Ms Passaris had previously been admitted at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi in September 2019 for a similar procedure, and had visited doctors in India in March 2019, where she was put under medication.
