On January 3, 2020, Citizen TV presenter Willis Raburu announced that he had taken a break from the media to deal with a family tragedy.
His wife, Marya Prude, had been pregnant but suffered a stillbirth, leaving Raburu and his family in immense pain.
"Over the past few days my heart has been shattered and torn into several pieces. The pain I have felt has been immeasurable and one that words fail to aptly capture," Raburu wrote on Facebook.
He expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, who would be holding the fort for him until his return, and asked his fans to continue praying for him and his family.
"I love you all, you make me who I am. See you soon. Successful people look like you! WABEBEE!" he concluded his post.
