On January 4, 2020, Bahati celebrated his 27th birthday in grand style at The Tribe Hotel, surrounded by his loved ones, including his partner Diana Marua.
As part of the celebrations, the couple decided to indulge in a romantic champagne toast, which quickly turned into a fun and playful moment.
Bahati, being the birthday boy, took his time to pop the champagne, taking almost 10 minutes to do so. Diana, on the other hand, was a bit embarrassed by her partner's 'shady' behavior, but love and money won out in the end.
As they sipped their champagne, Diana quipped, 'Kama ni ughetto wacha tukuoe waghetto basi' (If it's ghetto, let's live like the ghetto).
Bahati defended himself, saying the champagne was non-alcoholic, but he just wanted to experience how his friends felt when drinking from bottles.
He explained, 'When I drink from the bottle, I feel the way my alcoholic friends Jaguar and Diamond feel, but mine is like Holy Communion since it is non-alcoholic.'
