Elkana, a resident of Nairobi's Ruai Estate, and his wife Priscila, were introduced to a local church where they formed a close spiritual bond with the pastor.
However, the pastor's prayers and teachings centered around giving, and he would often ask the congregation to surrender their possessions to him for 'blessings'.
Elkana's wife, Priscila, was persuaded by the pastor to bring their property title deeds to him for prayers, without Elkana's knowledge.
When Elkana discovered what had happened, he confronted the pastor, who told him to wait for 'blessings' and not to interfere with the process.
However, the pastor failed to return the documents, and Elkana eventually reported the matter to the local administration, but they failed to help.
After a three-month disappearance, the pastor returned and apologized for his actions, returning the title deed to the family.
Elkana credits the intervention of Mugwenu Traditional Doctor, who allegedly helped to resolve the issue in just three days.
Elkana's story serves as a warning to others to be cautious of individuals who claim to offer blessings or spiritual guidance in exchange for material possessions.
