Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has come out swinging against Kandara MP Alice Wahome over her claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta wants to cling on to power after his term expires in 2022.
Ms Chege, who spoke at Kenol town on Friday, accused Ms Wahome of engaging in cheap politics instead of focusing on the development of her constituency.
She claimed Kandara was lagging behind in development and that Ms Wahome was more concerned with issuing press conferences in hotels than working for her electorate.
Ms Chege also accused Ms Wahome and the Tangatanga brigade of fighting the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report in the guise of championing the rights of farmers in Mt Kenya region.
She challenged them to come out and say whether they are in support of the BBI report or not.
Kisumu Woman Representative Rozah Buyu also weighed in, accusing Ms Wahome of insulting President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Ms Buyu claimed Ms Wahome was speaking on behalf of a senior politician and asked fellow MPs not to blame the President over their failures.
