Kenya's national women's volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, has touched down safely in Yaoundé, Cameroon, ahead of the Africa Olympic qualifiers set to begin on Sunday.

On Sunday, the team will face Egypt in their first match, marking the first time they have faced each other since 2017.

The five-day tournament will feature Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, Cameroon, and Egypt competing in a round-robin format, with the winner securing the sole slot reserved for Africa at the Tokyo Olympics.

Kenya has not appeared at the Olympics in 16 years, and the team will be looking to end this drought with a strong performance in the qualifiers.
