On a typical Monday evening, a family in North Carolina was in for a surprise when they preheated their oven for dinner. What they found inside, however, was not a frozen pizza, but a snake.
According to Amber Helm, her husband Robert preheated the oven on Monday night to cook a frozen pizza. However, as the oven heated up, the family noticed smoke in the kitchen, prompting them to investigate further.
As Amber Helm looked into the oven, she was shocked to find a snake inside. 'Oh my God! That's a friggin' snake,' she exclaimed.
The family, who had just moved into their home in January, was left stunned and unsure of how the snake had entered their oven. They suspected that it might have come through the crawl space, but were still unsure.
Fortunately, the snake was likely dead by the time the family discovered it, and the Helms were able to safely remove it from the oven. The family, who has two small children, was shaken by the experience and decided to take their kids out for dinner at Applebee's while Robert stayed home to clean the oven and air out the house.
As for how the snake ended up in the oven, the Helms are still trying to figure that out. They have scheduled a visit from a local company to ensure that their home is snake-free in the future.
