Published on January 3, 2020, a gossip blog reported that Zari Hassan's posh mansion in Uganda was an inheritance from her late ex-husband Ivan 'Don' Ssemwanga.
However, Zari quickly came out to clarify the reports, stating that she built the house from scratch with her own hard-earned money.
According to Zari, the house was never Ivan's, and she took to social media to express her frustration with the rumors, calling them 'bitchcrafty.'
'Get your facts right, I never inherited this house. It was never Ivan's. I built this on my own from scratch!!!! Y'all can't stand a person's success. That's bitchcrafty,' Zari said in a statement.
It's worth noting that Zari and Ivan co-owned businesses they founded together, and after Ivan's demise, Zari inherited majority of his property and businesses as stated in his will.
However, the house in question was not among the properties she took over.
