On New Year's Day, a devastating road accident occurred in Eldama Ravine, claiming the lives of five people. The latest update in this tragic incident is the identification of the fourth victim, 29-year-old Judy Chepchirchir, a mother of four.

Chepchirchir's body was identified as police struggled to establish the identity of the fifth victim, also a woman. In a bid to find out the woman's identity, Eldama Ravine Sub-county Police Commander Rashid Mohammad sent word to village elders and local administrators.

Jeremiah Ngetich, Chepchirchir's father, revealed that his daughter was a single mother of four children aged between five and 10 years. The children include twins – a boy and girl aged five. Ngetich, a lorry driver, stated that none of the three men who died in the accident was related to his daughter.

"The deceased was not married. She lived in Eldama Ravine town and we used to meet. She would occasionally come home to visit us," Ngetich said. He also mentioned that he would bump into Chepchirchir in town where she ran a business, but he never visited her workplace.

Miriam Koros, Chepchirchir's mother, appealed for help to raise her grandchildren, as they are now under her care with no one claiming to be their father.
