Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has issued a directive that all candidates who sat for the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination must join form one this year.

Speaking in Nyeri County, where he had visited children with disabilities in the Witermere slum, Magoha emphasized that the Ministry of Education will ensure that every candidate gets a place in a secondary school.

"We will track down all parents who have not taken their children to school and those who have not, we will take them ourselves," Magoha said.

Magoha also emphasized that girls who got married before completing their education will be taken back to school.
