On January 2, 2020, former AFC Leopards coach Rodolfo Zapata expressed interest in making a comeback to the Kenyan football club.
Having managed Leopards in 2018 for six months, Zapata has been without a job since quitting Township Rollers in June 2019, where he helped the team win the Botswana Premier League title.
His potential return comes as AFC Leopards are on the hunt for a new coach following the departure of Rwandan Casa Mbungo due to a pay dispute.
"I am passionate about the club and their fans who are always behind the players regardless of the results. I am open to a possible return to accomplish the good work I had started," Zapata told the Star.
Former players Anthony Kimani and Tom Juma are currently holding the coaching reins at the club, while Tanzanian coach Dennis Kitambi has also been linked to the role.
