Baroka FC, a South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, has appointed Dylan Kerr as its new head coach. Kerr, a former Gor Mahia tactician, has taken charge of the team, which is currently ranked 14th in the 16-team league.
According to a video posted on Baroka's social media pages, Kerr held his first session with the players on Thursday morning, ahead of their league tie against Cape Town City on Sunday.
"The facilities at this soon to be Baroka Sports Complex are amazing and I was happy to be with the team as we prepare for the game on Sunday," Kerr said.
"I wanted to get to understand the players and their character and I enjoyed the session. We have a very important game on Sunday and I can't wait to get started to help this club stamp authority in the PSL," he added.
Kerr's appointment comes after he left Black Leopards, another PSL side, where he helped the club survive relegation. With Baroka struggling to find its footing in the league, Kerr has his work cut out.
