Wazito FC, a struggling Kenyan Premier League side, is poised to make a significant signing in the mid-season transfer window. According to a reliable source, the club is set to sign Togolese center-back Esuf Bourhana.
Bourhana has been training with Wazito FC since December, having parted ways with Ethiopian giants St George, where he worked with current Wazito coach Stewart Hall.
The move is likely a result of St George's decision to cut down on foreign players, as the Ethiopian Football Federation introduces a new rule limiting the number of foreigners in the top-tier league to three per club.
Wazito FC has been restructuring, having parted ways with six players in recent times. The club has already signed Dennis Nganga, a former KCB left-back, and is reportedly eyeing AFC Leopards midfielder Whyvone Isuza.
"He has been with the club for around three weeks now and will be among the new signings most definitely," a reliable source at the club revealed.
The Kenyan Premier League mid-season transfer window opened on January 1 and will close on January 31.
