On January 2, 2020, a shocking scene unfolded at Nyama Kima in Nairobi when a wealthy businessman was caught in a compromising position with someone's wife.
The tycoon, who owns several businesses in the city, including electrical supply shops along Ngariama Road, was found at the restaurant, screaming for help.
According to eyewitnesses, a female voice cried out for assistance, saying, 'Wooiiii nimegwama hapa niokoe (Wooi I am stuck here come rescue me),' and the man responded, 'Usipige kelele watu watakuja watupate (Don't make noise you may attract a crowd here),'
However, as the situation escalated, the man joined the woman in screaming for help, and a crowd gathered outside their room on the third floor.
Well-wishers eventually broke down the door, and police arrived on the scene, taking the couple away.
A local trader, Macharia, commented, 'Polisi walikuja wakawatoa hapa haraka aki huyu mtu analala na mama Wanjohi ni aibu kubwa kabisa (Police came and took them away. It is embarrassing),'
The husband of the woman involved had allegedly hired a witchdoctor, known as Mugwenu Doctors, to help him catch the cheating spouse.
Dr. Mugwenu explained that his services only work for married couples who are unfaithful, and that the complainant must provide proof of their marriage before he can assist.
He also claimed that his 'kamti' can cause a cheating partner to get stuck or experience other forms of punishment.
