December 29, 2019, marked the end of a year that saw Cristiano Ronaldo emerge as the highest earner on Instagram, with a staggering KSh 5 billion (£38.2m) in earnings.
According to a report by Buzz Bingo, the 34-year-old Portuguese superstar outperformed his rival Lionel Messi, who earned KSh 2.5 billion (£18.7m) in the same period.
While Messi charged a minimum of KSh 70 million per post, Ronaldo earned an average of KSh 100 million for each sponsored post, making him the most lucrative influencer on the platform.
Other notable earners on the list include Kendall Jenner, who ranked third with KSh 1.5 billion (£12.7m), and David Beckham, who took the fourth position with KSh 1 billion (£8.6m).
