Michelle Ntalami, the founder of Marini Naturals, has sent a birthday message to her friend Makena Njeri, a BBC journalist, months after a cheating scandal involving the two went viral.
The scandal, which emerged five months ago, alleged that Ntalami was the cause of a breakup between Njeri and her unnamed girlfriend.
However, in a sweet letter to Njeri on her birthday, Ntalami described her as a cheerful friend, hard-working, and supportive.
The post was made from Ghana, where Ntalami and Njeri are currently celebrating her birthday with close friends.
"If laughter was currency, I'd owe you forever," Ntalami wrote. "You never fail to make me laugh even on the most serious situations! You're such a happy soul and a free spirit!"
Njeri responded to the warm post, saying that Ntalami's words and wisdom always leave her tongue-tied and grateful.
"You have been part of my support system and I have never meant a friend like you who really holds it down," Njeri wrote. "People out here are not riders we have experienced this together."
