Published on December 29, 2019, a Facebook post by a mum sparked a heated debate over a cleaning schedule she shared.
The schedule, which was shared on the Organise My UK Home Facebook page, divided household tasks into five sections: daily, weekly, monthly, every three to six months, and once a year.
Some of the tasks included in the daily section were cleaning the coffee maker, toilet, and shower walls, while weekly chores consisted of mopping the floors and changing bedding.
However, some commenters felt that the schedule was too intense, with one person saying, 'Gosh. No defo not. That's grim.'
Others questioned the placement of some of the cleaning tasks, suggesting that some of the jobs left to every three to six months or even yearly would need to be done more often.
One commenter said, 'If I only cleaned my windows once a year we wouldn’t be able to see out.'
Despite the debate, the post sparked a conversation about cleaning and household chores, with some people sharing their own tips and tricks for keeping their homes clean.
