It was a cold Christmas Eve night, and two strangers found themselves at a petrol station shop, both craving the same thing - a box of Marie biscuits.
They had clicked over the biscuits, which were their go-to snack when they were reading and tinkering, respectively. But on this night, they were nothing but two hungry 'travellers'.
After a quick discussion in the convenience shop aisle, they agreed to split the biscuits evenly and then part ways. But just as her bus pulled out of the petrol station, she looked out the window and saw him waving at her.
He mouthed the words, 'check the box', and when she did, she realized that he had only taken out one biscuit. Inside the box was the receipt from the convenience store with 'same place and time Dec 31' scrolled on it.
Years later, Aunt Eddah shared this story with her little niece, who listened intently. But when the little girl asked if Aunt Eddah had gone back to meet him, she was met with a surprising answer.
Aunt Eddah revealed that she was too afraid to love, but she did go back the next day and found him at the garage. It turned out that he ran the garage, and the little girl's eyes grew bigger as she realized that her Uncle Peter was the man in the story.
