On December 28, 2019, Zesco United's Caf Champions League campaign hit a snag as they drew 1-1 against visiting Zamalek at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Despite the draw, Zamalek took an early lead through substitute Mostafa Mohamed, who scored six minutes into the second half. However, Zesco United's Quadri Aladeokun salvaged a point for his team 12 minutes before full-time.
