On Friday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested four Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers for their alleged involvement in a violent robbery.

The suspects, James Lamata, Brian Kiplangat, Dad Sid, and Peter Kirui, were based at the Baawa Kenya Wildlife Service station in Samburu.

According to the DCI, the victims were returning home from a dowry function in the Lodogojek area when they were blocked by armed KWS officers in a Land Cruiser.

The officers allegedly stole Ksh. 9,500 and other personal items from the victims.

Following an identification parade conducted by DCI detectives, the suspects were arrested and are set to be arraigned on robbery with violence charges.
