Kenyan lawyer and politician Miguna Miguna, who was deported from the country in March 2018, has announced his plans to return to Kenya on January 7, 2020.
According to a post on his Twitter account, Miguna has booked a flight to Nairobi, which is scheduled to arrive on January 7, 2020, at 21:25pm.
“Because Justice delayed is justice denied. Viva!” Miguna tweeted, sharing a screenshot of his flight ticket confirmation.
Since his deportation, Miguna has been a vocal critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, who he played a key role in swearing in as the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement.
Kenyan social media users have reacted differently to Miguna's tweet, with some welcoming his return and others expressing skepticism.
