On December 28, 2019, the stage was set for a thrilling rematch between World Boxing Council heavyweight world titleholder Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury. The highly anticipated bout will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on February 22, with tickets going on sale on Saturday.

Wilder, who will be making his 11th title defence, expressed his excitement about the rematch, saying, "I'm happy and I'm excited that the rematch is finally happening."

He added, "I want to give the fans what they want to see. I've been doing it with my last three outings -- Fury, (Dominic) Breazeale and Ortiz."

Wilder's last outing saw him improve to 43-0 with a seventh-round knockout of Luis Ortiz on November 23 in Las Vegas.

The two fighters previously faced off in December 2018, with Fury leading on the scorecards before being knocked down by Wilder in the 12th round.

Wilder has promised his fans that there won't be any controversy in this rematch, saying, "I promise my fans that there won't be any controversy with this one. I'm going to finish it."

Fury, who survived two severe cuts to beat Otto Wallin by unanimous decision in September, is looking forward to taking care of "unfinished business" against Wilder.

"This is unfinished business for me, but come February 22, this dosser will finally get what's coming to him, and I can't wait!" Fury exclaimed.
