Kenyan celebrities often enjoy a massive following on social media, but some of them are surprisingly stingy when it comes to following back their fans. According to a recent analysis, several Kenyan celebrities have been found to be stingy on social media, refusing to follow back their fans on Twitter.
Published on December 28, 2019, the list includes popular celebrities such as Betty Kyalo, Cyprian Nyakundi, Lilian Muli, Akothee, Churchill, Dennis Okari, Crazy Nairobian (Billy The Goat), Lulu Hassan, Alfred Mutua, and Sharon Mundia.
Among the celebrities listed, Betty Kyalo has a huge fan base, with 718k people following her on Twitter. However, she only follows back a mere 664 people. Cyprian Nyakundi, a controversial blogger, has a huge fan base as well, but he does not follow a single soul on Twitter, despite being followed by over 38k people.
Other celebrities on the list include Lilian Muli, who has a huge fan base but only follows back 948 people out of her 425.6k followers, and Akothee, who is followed by 45.8k people but only follows back 342 people.
Churchill, a pioneer comedian in Kenya, has revolutionized the comedy industry in Kenya due to his show. Despite all these accomplishments, Churchill is still a social media stingy celebrity, following back only 715 people out of his 525.2k followers.
Other celebrities on the list include Dennis Okari, who is followed by 270.2k people but only follows back 755 people, and Crazy Nairobian (Billy The Goat), who has had his account pulled down once after he attained 100k followers. He currently has 30.8k followers but only follows back 196 people.
Alfred Mutua, the governor of Machakos County, has a huge following of up to 803.7k people but only follows back 85 people. Sharon Mundia, a TV Host at NTV's Living with Ess, is followed by 55.8k people on Twitter but only follows back 65 people.
