On December 28, 2019, Nairobi businesswoman and actress Bridget Achieng made a shocking claim against fellow actress Pendo, alleging that she stole her phone during a dinner at her place.
According to Bridget, Pendo not only stole her phone but also continued to use it, even going as far as calling her boyfriend with it.
Speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni, Pendo denied the allegations, saying that she had indeed stolen Bridget's phone but had returned it to her after she tracked it down.
‘Pendo stole my phone and that is how I entered Nairobi D, I used to call them for lunch with her dress,' Bridget quoted Pendo as saying.
However, Pendo's version of events differed from Bridget's, as she claimed that she had only used the phone to call her boyfriend and had returned it to Bridget after she was paid for the damages.
‘She continued using my phone. I tracked it and found her with it. She had tried calling her boyfriend with my phone,' Pendo said.
During the interview, Pendo also addressed allegations that she had used juju to achieve success in her life, saying that some people had accused her of using witchdoctors due to her well-to-do lifestyle.
‘THE CRAZIEST THING I HAVE HEARD IS THAT I GO TO WITCHDOCTORS. THE REASON WHY SOME OF MY FELLOW NAIROBI D ACTRESSES SAID THAT IS BECAUSE I USED TO LIVE IN AN SQ,' Bridget quoted Pendo as saying.
