Manchester City's 14-point lead in the Premier League was cut to 10 points after a shocking 3-2 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday, December 27, 2019.

Ederson, Manchester City's Brazilian goalkeeper, was sent off in the 12th minute after a VAR review confirmed he had clipped Wolverhampton Wanderers' Diogo Jota.

Despite being a man down, Manchester City took the lead twice, first through a penalty saved by Rui Patricio, and then through a composed finish by Raheem Sterling.

However, Wolverhampton Wanderers staged a stunning comeback, with Adama Traore scoring twice, including the equalizer, and Raul Jimenez scoring the equalizer, before Matt Doherty sealed the win in the 89th minute.

Manchester City's Benjamin Mendy was at fault for the equalizer, as he was robbed of the ball by Traore, who then passed it to Jimenez for the equalizer.
