Five Chinese nationals are set to face court charges after being arrested in Nakuru on December 23 for assembling 169 illegal betting machines in Blankets Estate.

County Criminal Investigations Officer David Wangai explained that the suspects could not be presented in court as expected on December 27, as investigations were still ongoing.

“This is a serious case which requires us to establish facts before presenting the suspects in court,” Wangai said.

County Police Commander Stephen Matu confirmed that the suspects were found in possession of 169 assembled machines.
