Manchester City's title defence took a hit on Friday night as they suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.
The match was marred by controversy early on, with City goalkeeper Ederson Moraes being sent off just 12 minutes into the game after fouling Diogo Jota.
Despite being a man down, City took the lead through a VAR-assisted penalty in the 25th minute, courtesy of Raheem Sterling.
However, the hosts were not to be denied, with Adama Traore's strike in the 56th minute reducing the deficit, and Raul Jimenez levelling the scores in the 62nd minute after a clever piece of play by Traore.
And just as it seemed the match was heading for a draw, Matt Doherty fired home in stoppage time to seal a thrilling 3-2 win for Wolves.
Guardiola's men are now 14 points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have one match to play, and will be hoping to return to winning ways when they welcome Sheffield United on December 29.
