On December 28, 2019, the Mulembe Golf Day came to a close at the Kakamega Golf Club, with James Anzabwa claiming the top honours.
Playing off a handicap of 18.3, Anzabwa shot a round total of 35 stableford points, securing the overall title in the day-long event that drew a field of 121 golfers.
The Mulembe Golf Day is the culmination of a tournament organized by the Mulembe Golfing Society fraternity, who also hosted a similar event at the Kitale Golf Club last year.
The tournament was presented by the Kakamega County government, Tuskys, Dlite Limited, Khetias Supermarket, and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, among others.
Francis Okwara, patron of the Mulembe Golfing Society, thanked the sponsors and participants for making the event a success.
