On December 26, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Narok when two mechanics engaged in a fight that turned fatal.
According to Sub-County Police Commander Joseph Kisombe, the two men fought at the bank of the Enkare Narok river, and in the heat of the moment, they threw themselves into the river.
Unfortunately, one of the mechanics drowned, while the other survived and was later arrested and recorded a statement with the police.
Commander Kisombe stated that the search for the body is ongoing, and the police are working with locals and have even engaged the services of divers to retrieve the body.
He cautioned the locals against attempting to cross swollen rivers and streams to avert deaths, citing a recent incident where a boda boda operator was swept away by raging floods while trying to cross Ololung'a river in Narok South sub-county.
