According to the fishermen, on the 9th day of their ordeal, they spotted a team of navy soldiers patrolling the sea and desperately asked for help, including water to quench their thirst. However, the navy allegedly refused to assist them, leaving the fishermen to fend for themselves.
It was only after their boat drifted to the shores of Ngomeni village that the fishermen were rescued by the villagers. Their story, which was first shared on Citizen TV, sparked a wave of angry reactions, making the Kenya Navy a trending topic on social media.
