Deputy President William Ruto has extended an olive branch to Kalonzo Musyoka, inviting the Wiper leader to join the Jubilee Party.
On December 23, 2019, Kalonzo Musyoka announced his intention to join forces with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2022 elections, stating that he would be campaigning alongside the President.
"Wherever my brother Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta will be in the next election, I will be with him. We will all be there," Kalonzo said in a statement.
Just days later, Ruto welcomed Kalonzo to the Jubilee Party, saying that the party is open to all and has a clear vision for the country.
"Karibu Jubilee Stevo, a party with a vision and for all," Ruto tweeted.
Ruto also invited Kalonzo to work with the Jubilee Party to implement the government's four-year agenda and Jubilee's policies to develop the country.
"What is important for us now is to implement the government's four-year agenda and Jubilee's policies to develop the country," Ruto said in a statement.
