On December 27, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Utangwa Village, Makueni County, where an 18-month-old boy lost his life after choking on a slice of bread.
According to Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Napeiyan, the boy's father, Mr. Richard Ngao, reported the incident to the police, stating that his son choked while feeding on a slice of bread.
The child was rushed to Mbooni Sub-County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The body was taken to Makueni County Referral mortuary for postmortem examination.
