Published on December 27, 2019, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola faces a daunting task in replacing Sergio Aguero if the Argentine striker decides to leave the club at the end of his contract in 2021.

Aguero has been an integral part of Manchester City since joining the club in 2011, breaking the record for the club's top scorer with 244 goals in all competitions.

Guardiola praised Aguero's dedication and humility, stating, "Sergio is irreplaceable. It'll be one of the toughest asks to replace him. We have another incredible striker in Gabriel Jesus and maybe another one will come when Sergio leaves but he's irreplaceable."

Despite battling injuries, Aguero has already found the net 13 times this season, and he is back in contention to start Friday's Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Guardiola's side is looking to leapfrog Leicester City into second place behind Liverpool with a third straight league win.
