On Christmas Day, West Ham midfielder Michail Antonio found himself in a festive predicament after crashing his Lamborghini into a stranger's garden in south London.
According to eyewitness Kia Rosina, who was in the house at the time, dinner was nearly ready when the massive bang occurred, causing the whole house to shake.
"At first, I thought it was a bus due to how loud the bang was," Rosina told The Athletic. "I looked outside and then I said, 'Mum!' then we ran outside to see if whoever was in the car was fine."
Fortunately, Antonio escaped unhurt, despite being dressed in a snowman costume at the time of the incident.
Antonio had posted a video to his Instagram page earlier in the day singing 'Walking in the Air', and it appears he was still in the festive spirit when the crash occurred.
West Ham trained earlier on Christmas Day and were due to meet up at the team hotel ahead of their trip to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day, which the Eagles won 2-1.
Antonio played the full 90 minutes of West Ham's defeat at Palace, despite the earlier incident.
A Metropolitan Police statement confirmed that police were called to the scene at 18:36 hours on Wednesday, 25 December, and found a Lamborghini car that had left the road and crashed into a road sign and a garden wall.
The driver, Antonio, did not require hospital treatment, and there were no other reported injuries. There is no police investigation.
