The gang, which claims to be a vigilante group, has been responsible for a series of brutal killings, leaving the victims' relatives in a state of mortal fear.
According to eyewitnesses, the gang's modus operandi involves demanding 'funeral authority fees' from the families of the victims, with some reports suggesting that they even extort money from traders and businessmen.
A villager, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted the harrowing experience of his relative who was brutalized by the gang until he became impotent.
'They come for you and convene a kangaroo court and cane you until you pass out,' the villager said.
The gang's activities have been shrouded in secrecy, with locals too afraid to speak out against them. However, a source close to the gang revealed that they have set up unauthorized cells near the Gusii Stadium and Nyabera grounds, where they detain and interrogate their suspects.
Despite the police's claims that they are doing everything in their power to apprehend the gang members, locals believe that the police are complicit in the gang's activities.
'They have the blessings of politicians,' a police source said, adding that the police are 'small people' in the eyes of the gang.
