As the world enters a new decade, women are being advised to take charge of their careers and lives by being go-getters, believing in themselves, and speaking out against injustices.
According to experts, women should set clear goals and work towards achieving them, just like Sammy Kirui, Operations Manager at Panari Group, who attributes his success to believing in himself and being honest with others.
'Whatever a woman sets her mind to do, she achieves it,' Kirui said.
Another expert, Rachel Muthoni, Manager of 'Wamlambez' hitmakers Sailors, advises women to be determined and go against the odds that have been placed on society about what men can do and women can't.
'People think managers, especially in the music industry, is for men alone, but by going against the odds, we've scooped four awards today,' Muthoni said.
Stellah Njogu, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager- Banquets at The Panari Group, believes that women should believe in themselves and stop being their worst enemy.
'Believing in themselves and that they are better than men is key to winning the gender game,' Njogu said.
Andrew Onyuka, Head of Operations at Aces and Light Company Ltd, advises women to be empowered and aggressive, and to take the lead in every aspect of their lives.
'Women are now taking us head on in every aspect we are doing,' Onyuka said.
Hillary Akoto, Head of Sales at Global Exhibitions Inc, an MIE Group company, believes that women should speak out and fight for their rights.
'It's their right and something they need to stand for, fight for, and look at having an affirmative action,' Akoto said.
Nadia Mukami, an entrepreneur, advises women to be inclusive and to do whatever men are doing.
'Inclusion is very important,' Mukami said.
