Comedian Chipukezy is mourning the loss of his grandfather, Mzee Killian Kithui, who passed away during the festive season.
DP William Ruto has sent a condolence message to Chipukezy and his family, praising Mzee Kithui's dedication to public service and his commitment to education.
According to the condolence message, Mzee Kithui was a man of great humility, respect for all, and selfless service to his community. He cared for the sick and orphans and was a devoted Christian, dedicated family man, and faithful member of the Catholic Church.
Chipukezy announced the news on his Instagram, saying, 'It's a sad day but I choose to celebrate the life of my late grandpa mzee Killian Kakonzi #burialday???.'
He also thanked DP Ruto for his friendship, condolence message, and grief during this time of sorrow.
DP Ruto's condolence message reads in part, 'The demise of any member of a family is traumatic. Accept my sincere condolences.'
He also praised Mzee Kithui's dedication to public service, saying, 'Mzee Kithui was a dedicated and hardworking public servant, who performed his duties with energy, diligence, and commitment during his teaching days.'
He also highlighted Mzee Kithui's role in establishing schools in the region, saying, 'He was a visionary and passionate advocate for education and was instrumental in establishing schools in the region.'
