On Christmas Day, Rosemary Odinga, the firstborn daughter of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, revealed that she has regained her sight after two years of blindness.

Speaking at St Peter's ACK Church in Nyamira, Bondo, Rosemary said she can now see and no longer needs the white cane that had been her partner in mobility since 2017.

She attributed her recovery to prayers and medical treatment she underwent in various countries, including Nairobi, Germany, South Africa, Israel, and India.

"I saw my children for the first time in two years," Rosemary said, as the congregation erupted in thunderous applause.

Her father, Raila Odinga, accompanied her to the church and shared how the family's lives were devastated by Rosemary's sickness.

"It was painful to see my daughter go into a coma for more than one week and the many trips we made in and out of hospitals," Raila said.

After undergoing a three-in-one operation in China, Rosemary regained her eyesight and was able to see her children for the first time in two years.

"When I came back from India, it was very emotional to see my children for the first time after two years. I thank all of you for your prayers," Rosemary said.
